This ground anchor, 800 mm long and 25 mm thick, is the in-between size in our range of tent pegs. You drive it into the ground to secure the guy ropes of your stretch tent. Ground anchor and tent peg mean the same thing here: a solid steel pin that takes the pull of the fabric.

When do you choose this size?

Length and thickness decide how much grip you get in the ground. This size sits between the 600 x 20 mm peg and the standard 1000 x 30 mm: 200 mm longer and 5 mm thicker than the small, 200 mm shorter and 5 mm slimmer than the 1000 x 30. At 3 kg each it stays easy to carry and quick to drive in, while its pull-out force of around 267 kg is more than three times that of the 600 x 20 mm.

For mobile set-ups on normal grass it is a sound middle ground between grip and weight. If the tent stays up longer, or the ground is loose or sandy, choose the one-metre sizes: they reach deeper and pass 400 kg.
